If one wanted, they could shorten the height by an inch or more pretty easily, if I recall correctly.

This may or may not be of interest, but you asked for ideas...

Poser? The 6MT is no better than 5AT, both are slow as sh*t. It is merely a personal choice of style.

I didn't cut the shifter shaft on mine just the plastic actuator in the center which lowers the **** 1/2". Better choices for a AT **** is the KJ burnt Titanium **** combined with a NiftyShifty boot. (check my garage photos) I believe Sean aka SXEXCX is still selling both on our Marketplace. This shifter puts a smile on my face every time I sit behind the wheel...Gary

doesn't look bad man! I like the idea, is there anyway to tighten up the leather boot, or must it be that loose to compensate for the movement of the shifter??

Alright guys! I found one and bought it! Check out my unboxing pics

Now, I went to test fit the **** and so far this is what I came up with:

I removed the OEM 04 shift ****, found that the plastic piece may be too thick to fit into the hole in the GTR ****, so I removed the plastic piece and put the **** on, The GTR **** went over the shifter and i was able to clip it in, HOWEVER, without the plastic piece, obviously the shifter top would not release the shifter to move, AND there was a little play associate with the **** it moved around a little bit)

Can anyone who has changed there **** to anything, provide a little insight on how to set this up. I am willing to cut the shifter stem down and shave lines into the stem for the clip to sit properly, I just want to make sure that I don't EFF up anything because it isn't "undoable" i would need an entire shifter assembly if I do. However I am very excited to get this done, as it cleans up with the shifter column quite a bit

SEE BELOW, This was done on a 370z

Thanks man! I didn't see that it was done on the G37, the **** is the only expensive part and I bought it used from the GTR forum so it wasn't too bad. Any idea on where I should look to try to get this to work on the G35?
