If I had that kind of money to waste on a car it would be a used GT-R. Seen a few in the $55k range.

Agree - and the residual or resale value will be cut in half after the first transaction. KIT cars typically are valued by the builder and a buyer - they are very hard to insure and come with a host of issues. Not bagging on you kid - I think you have a good dream, just for the $$ you may be better off with a used GTR. Hell at 15 I was grand turismo-ing a 350GT on my play station, definitely not looking up builds on how to do my own - so props to you young man!!!
