Will this key fit for my G?

Hey guys,

I've seen my friend's G35 keys, and their keys look a lot better than the one I have. I was wondering if it is possible to program a key like theirs by purchasing one form Ebay?

This is the one they have:

Thanks!

That is the key fob I have for my 06 G35. So yes those keys will work.

EDIT: Nevermind. Listen to infinitidude, he knows his stuff.

It will only work if your car is set up to take the intelligent key. If you just have the regular blade style ignition key cylinder then no it probably will not. There is a different key cylinder, an intelligent key control unit and I'm not sure if harness is pre wired for this. The I-Key control unit is on the CAN system as one of the major control units. I-Key was an option on 05-06 G's.

Someone on here took a regular fob and inserted it's guts into an IK shell and it worked. Wasn't plug and play but I can't remember what he had to do to get it to work.

Yeah, I've seen that already but I wouldn't want to cut and weld. I personally think it wouldn't look right if I did it myself. I would want a simpler way to get it to work haha.
