Hello guys,

I have an '07 G35 Coupe with automatic transmission. Suddenly the button on the shift **** doesn't work. It doesn't seem to engage anything. The only way for me to shift is to take the **** off and just push down on the stick.

It seems that the little plastic piece that connect from the shaft to the shifter is broken. Here is a pic I found online, it is the blue plastic piece on top of the shaft.

Does anyone know where I can buy this piece or what it is called?

I don't know so look it up in the FSM under transmission/interior (my best guess).

 

I think the plastic plunger is part of the ****. Part manual doesnt show it as a seperate piece. Unless it is part 34951

I would call your local infiniti dealer and try to get part 34951. If that isn't it, then you are SOL and have to buy the whole shifter assembly.

Hope it works too. My car was under warranty when mine went out and the told me it was $700 to fix
