Oil Leak

Just had an oil change and the mechanic told me there was an oil leak. The description says: " Oil leak found upon arrival. Could not determine exact location. Check oil normally and regularly"
2004 G35 coupe AT. Has 112K miles on it. New engine( replaced long block at 90K under warranty due to oil burning) I'm good at maintenance, to be honest this time it went a little beyond normal schedule( I think I changed it around 6 months/4000 miles). The car is out of extended warranty so I don't take it to the dealer anymore.
The mechanic said his guess is that it was due to the oil valve gaskets?! He said if I check it regularly and make sure the oil level is ok it should not cause a problem.
What do you guys think?
I have to say I am getting tired of this cars problems. Time for a new car?

How many miles were on the replacement engine? Was it a rebuild or a drop in? Valve cover gaskets are rubber and do tend to break down. There are tons of threads about leaking valve cover gaskets. Normally they are the seals to the spark plug wells that leak and foul the plugs.

Your getting tired of the problems on a car with 112K thousand miles on it. Give me a break! As the mechanic said just watch your oil level. How many miles did your coupe have on it when you bought it? How many owners did it have before you? What did you pay for what was a $39,000 car when new? Answer these questions...and then be thankful that your G is running well. Just watch your oil level.

Get some pics of the location where general area of oil leak was spotted and let's go from there.

That would be a minor issue in my opinion.

I'd fix it and move on.
