I saw a coupe in Bellflower, CA more than a year ago that had a blood red "plastic wrap" finish. Best looking thing I had ever seen.

my quotes were around 10k for show quality spray job.

Though i have my ideas for a custom job, if i go that route I'll be married to shows, have to secure a daily driver, additional insurance. for me may not be worth it.

ppp

So that chrome look is just paint? I thought it was like a chrome body not just painted..

after you've decided somewhat on a color think about the process. for instance a white base and pink color would stand out more then a grey base. Also im unaware if they place the metallic comps in a layer of clear or in the paint. also metallic base coats. tons of new applications equally as impressive as the array of paint choices.additionally ive heard about a protective acrylic coating, where you will never need to wax again and it protects the paint... at the cost of a rough feel.

next up perhaps a color changing paint such as mirage duplicolor paint system (perhaps they make this in a commercial application). lol why settle for one color when you can have two !

the chrome car looked awesome ! how about a black chrome paint job !

anyways good luck on your choice, post some pics when you complete the transformation !

ppp

look what i found !

Thank me later

HAHAH... just carry a fire extinguisher in your car. Get chased by the cops, get a decent lead, pull into a parking garage, spray the car down and voila!

my freind that owns a shop painted a black car with blue pearl and it looked awesome, like a really dark blue but up close you could see it was black with blue pearl, a real nice touch, Ive got red with blue pearl on my maxima, which gets alot of compliments, the only thing is its alot of work to change the color (correctly) I would suggest staying with the stock black and adding a pearl on top of it.
