New User says Hello
Greetings.
I am a newbie to the G35 forum and hope to gain some helpful hints as I learn more and more about this incredible car.
I come here looking for advice and suggestions, with a great deal of "Forum Experience" brought over from my Corvetteforum and MalibuBoat forums where I picked up a lot of really great ideas, timely topics, a lot of Mod's and am hoping you all will help me out here while I get my feet wet.
First order of business, is, I am looking for a G35! This will not replace my Vette, but will be a DD for myself and other family drivers.
Probably looking for an 03, 03.5 or early 04, less than 30,000 miles, coupe or sedan.
To better arm myself for negotiation in my search, I would like to draw on the experience of G35 owners here as to what I might expect to pay for a reasonable G35. Also, what should I be on the look-out for?
I know I am at a huge disadvantage, because I am just starting my research and getting to know the car, features, pros and cons.
Thus, I would be appreciative of any help one might give me as I begin with the Infinity experience.
Many Thanks
FYI - I am in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area.

NEWBIE!!! Save the women and children... Run for the hills!!!
J/K Welcome to the board. Lots of really good info here.
Well, I got my 05 coupe brand new for $33,000. So im thinkin you can get a good one used in the mid to high 20's.
Are you into modding? Forced induction for these cars is becoming vast. Vortech seems to be the favorite supercharger here and Greddy for the turbo.
Suspension seems to swing to the direction of HKS or Tein coilovers. Volk Wheels are definately the favorite choice around here. Most people are running 9.5 and 10.5 inch wide 19's on their lowered cars w/o any rubbing issues. There are also lots of choices for brake upgrades.
Remeber to use that search button as you will find every topic here has been discussed in depth and is easily found. Enjoy the G when you get it and post pics.

If you want lower price there are a lot more used Sedans out there than Coupes. I bet a lot of leases are expiring pretty soon so quite a few might be available. Do some basic searches on yahoo autos or other sites and I think especially in the Dallas area you will find a lot of used G's since Grubbs sells a lot in that area. A quick search showed a number in the $24k range for 20-30k miles. If you want a manual its going to be a little tougher since they are rarer than autos.
Good luck....I love my coupe so would go that route but the Sedans can hold their own very well.

Welcome...
as regards price, hmmm it depends on the options that you are looking for. I can tell you that the resale value on these cars is high, so it may be difficult to find one that is relatively inexpensive. I have an 03 with 23K but you may or may not find one with miles that low for sale. I had mine appraised because I refinanced it, and it was appraised at 32K a month ago. I was like WOW!. but that is probably retail and not wholesale. You will find a better deal buying from a private party.
