Possible starter?

Few days ago I went to work in the morning and the car started up just fine. I get to work and park it when I get ready to go the car wont crank at all. We tried jumping it and nothing, we checked out all the fuses inside and out of the car and they are all good. Checked relays and they are good. A buddy tried tapping on the starter and still nothing.

Security light blinks and when the key is in and it is turned to ON the light turns off. So I dont think its an anti theft issue.

Took the battery to the auto parts and it tested good. I finally got the car towed home and left the battery unplugged over night and reconnected it this morning and still the same.

All accessories work (radio, ac, lights, dash, compass, temp, etc)

I am stuck on this. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Vehicle is 2003 G35 Sedan

Sounds like it's a bad starter to me. What sounds do you hear when you try and start the car?...any clicking...or no sounds at all?

When you turn the key if you hear a click it's the starter...pull the starter off and carry it in to an auto store and have it tested

Trying to get the starter out to get it checked. Id like to kick the SOB who re bolted that starter in there. Specs state 44 ft lbs of torque. There is noway that those are in there at that spec. I tried air ratchet and a breaker bar. According to records the dealer swapped the starter out a few years ago. Now I gotta wait on my dad to come help me out with it....LOL

I can assure you if it was done at a dealer, the starter was tightened with an impact. Torque specs on items like that are really irrelevant. Now intake, head bolts, valve covers, timing chains, clutch, etc. I can understand. Starter, bellhousing bolts and stuff of that nature would not have been torqued.
