Headlight Clear Coat?

I have searched and seen a bunch of topics on headlight restoration to remove the haze and I have done this, but what is a good product to apply to the headlight as far as a clear coat to protect it after the restoration is done? Is there even a product?

I have done the restoration but it doesnt last long for 04 headlights and you have to touch it up more often than not. I have seen posts about using a clear coat afterwards, but no one saying what type of clear coat/protection they add to the headlight. Thoughts on this?

Thats a good question. If I had another lens I would try to air brush a clear coat on it and leave it outside to see if it worked.

I use car wax on mine. It helps but you have to keep up with it regularly as with wax on any other exterior body part on a vehicle.

I looked into this a few years ago and a lot of people were trying it on various cars. Many said that it looked fine during the day but the lights looked murky and faded at night, but it did prevent the yellowing effect better than doing nothing.

They sell headlight sealer specifically for that. Find it in the car care section of any O'Reilly or AutoZone.
