Hey guys when i lock my g35 it makes the beep for the lock but you can still open the doors and it makes the alarm go off and doesnt exactly lock. Any advice?

 

I've been hearing issues about the cold freezing the door locks closed/open. Maybe this is your issue?

 

Does it unlock if you manually lock it while inside the car and then push the unlock button on your key fob?

Try it separately on each side door.

It could be a wiring problem to the motor that drives the door locking mechanism or possibly a dead motor in the door lock mechanism itself.

 

You might need to replace your door lock actuators.

 

Door lock acuators are very common on coupe models.

 

Your symptoms sound very close to the ones I had, it is most likely your door lock actuators. OEM replacements are pretty pricey, but there's a thread on a cheap replacement somewhere on the forum.

 

Same issue here. Forgot to lock my passenger side one night and somebody came into my car looking for money or something and threw papers everywhere.

I need to see who sells these actuators, and how easy the DIY is.
