When and how to get the G to it's potential
like with anything else shifting at redline everytime will take its toll on the engine sooner or later... if you're just cruising, i don't see the need to do that unless you really want to race someone... as for the MM mode, the 05 is pretty decent and it has the downshift revmatching thing where it'll blip the throttle a little when you downshift... once i installed the grounding wires, there does seem to be a better response in shifting, especially in double downshifting... the delay is still there but it doesn't seem that bad... seems comparable to a normal shift in a 6MT...
Oh just noticed that you have the 05.. Even Better!
Quite east to shift however you want with less effort in those. I wish the 05 program was available for 03's. My loaner was an 05.. It was a blast in MM mode.
The Z-tube gives you a deeper growl from the engine area at WOT.. It's intoxicating along with the exhaust note.

Dude get the HyperGround wires from STILLEN it will make the MM shifting hit the minute you tell it to shift. I installed them along with the STILLEN CAI and the Borla exhast, man talk about a seat of the pants differance. I can't stop picking races now.

I found after test driving a lot that the G's manumatic mode was one of the best. Better than Mercedes, BMW.
