As I watch the miles add up, I want to know more and more info on swapping the engine/tranny and rebuilding the engine. My main questions are:

1. What engines are good candidates for a swap? (Good fit, good price, etc)

2. I plan on tuning. How much could I push out of a rebuilt engine? (I'm almost to 170k)

3. What am I looking at in terms of price?

 

Just IMO, but ballpark $10,000 for any serious motor build/ engine and tranny swap.

It may end up being less than that, but at least you'll be prepared to handle any unexpected problems!

I'm relatively inexperienced with motor swaps but I've seen a few members swapping LS series motors and their respective tranny's, as well as some 2JZ's....hope this helps!
