I am a fairly new driver of a 03 coupe, I got it back in late last december. My sunroof is giving me problems. For one, when it closes it just reopens the other way. it does not close automatically, it closes manually. I have to press the opposite button to make it balanced on the roof, what can i do to stop that? Also when i try to open it fully, it slides back half way and stops. Is there anything i can do to fix this problem?

 

Two or three times a year I clean my sunroof railings with carb spray then I apply a bead of silicone spray. It always works just like new! Maybe, your railings are so full of crud the sunroof doesn't work correctly...cleaning is a start and maybe your answer.

My sunroof would open but it would take me about 10-15 mins to close. It would close bout 1/8 of length then open back up. It will keep doing that till it feels like closing

 

I have had this problem before. The sun roof is out of sinc sometimes you have to reset it. i believe in the owners manual it will tell you how to correct it. if you can't find the info in the book let me know i will try and find it.
