Stroker???
Stroker???
Hey guys, i have an auto 06 coupe and saw a few stroker kits. I think its an interesting and best way to gain power by keeping it NA. But is it safe to do that on a daily driver? Would it cause problems and end up at the garage every 2 weeks? Please inform me more, and what is the best stroker kit (a kit that has all the required parts to change would be preferable). Thanks in advance guys!
Staying on these cars NA and looking for real power is not cost effective at all, not that boosting these is cheap either but its still more bang for buck that's for sure.
That is only crank, rods and pistons. Still need ECU, fuel system, bearings, sleeves, oil pump, custom engine boring, deck machining, girdle, main studs, head studs, seals, install and tuning all as a minimum.
While everything is apart, you might as well do the heads. Then you got head resurfacing, coating, radius valve job, valves, springs, keepers, locators, retainers and timing adjustment.
You can probably do it all for 12k if you can pull the engine and install yourself. Plan for 15k for all work done for you.
