Rear End "Wiggle"

My 04 G35 Coupe, that has recently come out of winter hibernation seems to have developed a "wiggle" in the rear end when going over bumps or expansion joints in the road. Otherwise, it seems to drive normally with no pull or wander, no thumps or bumps. Tires are in good shape and don't seem to have any other bad behavior.

The wiggle is somewhat hard to describe, the front wheels go over a bump or expansion joint with no drama, but a fair amount of the time the back end feels like it side steps as it hits the bump. It's not to the point where you feel like it needs corrected with the wheel, just a bit unnerving on the highway. I don't notice it below about 40 MPH.

Any thoughts on where to focus on the rear suspension when I get under it this weekend? Any common rear suspension problems I should look out for? Tests I should perform?

Worn shocks and struts can have a pretty drastic effect. I know the roads around here were destroyed by the hard winter and I have bad shocks, my back end gets a little squirrely when I hit bumps. How old is are you shocks?

Unknown on age of shocks. Bought the car last spring and it currently has 64,000 miles. I assume they are original.

Could possibly be worn end links. When mine went out the rear end would become unsettled over pretty much any bump. Went away after I replaced them. They usually make a knocking noise though when they're bad

i had the issue, and it came with new tires were put or atleast it was more noticeable...

anyway i did the struts and bushings all the way around .. front end got nice and tight .. but the rear was still ehh loose or more like greesey ....

took it to an alignment shop .. found out .. my rear somehow was jacked up .. everything was out of spec .. they put it all back within spec .. the spots car tightness the g is known for was back .. driving like a laser onece again ...

get an alightment or atleast visit a shop, so they can tell u if it needs one.

Time to replace tie rods if broken or the shocks if the tie rods are fine!

I have new coil overs, so I know it's not the shocks... I am thinking of getting toe bolts and camber arms... I figure, I have had the car aligned, but maybe I need to put it back in to factory specs....
