yea post some pictures of the colors of the stock g35s, I've seen red, black, graphite (my fav so far), help me out I gotta buy this bad boy in a month and a half, thanks gentlemen and ladies.

Byrnie - Go with RED! You will stand out amongst all of the other G's. Everybody has silver, black white etc. The red is very rare. Be distinct and dare to be different.

 

Insurances are also higher in red cars, right? and its been known many times that RED catches the cops eyes a lot quicker than others.

 

This is my second Ivory Pearl color car. I like the ease of maintenance, and its still classy at the same time....
If you want to put in some extra hours each week maintaining a darker color, then Red or Black would be my choice

I think DG looks very sleek. My 05 6mt is DG. But that seems to be the choice of many people. If you want to stand out, I'd go with Athens Blue or Red.

choice of color really depends on taste and personality.
I chose twilight blue for my '04 because I thought of it as a subtle color and not too flashy (which I prefer). I also liked DG, but I thought it was too common of a color. Black, to me, was also too common a color. Not necessarily for the G, but for cars in general.
I also like red, but for me, I didn't like the shade of red that the G35 comes in. I prefer a deeper shade. My previous car (240SX) was a burgundy red.
So, for me, twilight blue was the best color.

I've heard that too, but when I got mine, the rate was actually lower than my 2k2 white maxima? So don't let the ins. company pull one over on ya.

It's true, red does get a lot of attention. For most people, red psychologically increases the pulse rate. I got my first ticket in the G for going 37 in a 30. Bad luck, but I'm sure if I was driving a dark green mini-van, the cop may have looked the other way....gotta wonder.

 

I've never had an insurance company ask what color my car is.

 

My wife drives a red 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT 5MT, which still turns a few heads.

Two weeks ago she ordered an 05 G-35 CPE 6MT fully loaded - again red.

Insurance is not affected by the color because as you point out that at least some companies don't even ask or care, except for identification purposes. (Our insurer is USAA.)
