New to this...

Just recently purchased a 07 G35 6spd... Time to start purchasing some car parts. Any recommendations on drilled and slotted rotors?

Do your current rotors need to be replaced?

Are you tracking your car? Have you tried a better brake pad compound? Are you experiencing gradual brake fade over the course of a track session?

If this doesn't apply to you, then drilled/slotted rotors probably won't do anything for you, so just get the cheapest ones for looks.

No, I'm not tracking my car. It only has 58k. I haven't tried other pads because the ones I have on are still good. It's my rotors that are worn out. So I'm just thinking of buying drilled and slotted since I have to buy new ones anyways.

If it is just a daily driver, just get some cheapo posiquiets.

Daily driving does not required drilled rotors. They tend to stress crack at the holes and it only reduces the mass needed to dissipate heat. Slotted are okay.

Just get quality rotors and good oem spec pads. Not track pads. Their cold performance is lacking

Yes. The Slotted ones look very nice, and don't cost that much more extra. Definitely worth the extra appeal.

I mean that Is your opinion but compliments galore have said otherwise. This myth about warping rotors is from track guys. How many of us go to a track vs being hardparkers... Yeah.

I'm just gonna drill through my blanks and make my own drilled rotors. Or maybe just drill a little way in and have dimpled too.

Fite me

Regardless if you track your coupe or not there's an advantage to having quality rotors! I love my DBA rotors, they're available in a few different configurations. Check our Marketplace under vendor brakes, best prices and quick delivery!
