Drilled and slotted rotors I have them on my 05X.Drilled aid in cooling I like them. You will hear horror stories about cracking. Get rotors with a warranty. I got a lifetime warranty with mine.
Im using akebono pro act ceramic pads very good pads little dust no squeaking.

why do you need aiding in cooling your rotor if your rotor never overheats?

Yes, but you can still brake to your tires limits and get abs to go off. Unless you have brake fade, extra cooling doesn't do anything for you. It takes multiple stops to get brake fade, and you see it most often in track use. Even with brake fade, the best first fix is usually get better pads.
