Best strut for lowering springs in winter conditons

Hey, I posted this in the what should I buy for my G thread, but didn't get many replies so I'm making a new thread. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I'm looking for a new strut setup for the G coupe that will last through heavy winters on aftermarket springs. Right now I am looking at the Eibach Pro Kit for springs (1'' drop), but am unsure what strut to match them with. I used to have an S13 240sx that ate three sets of struts when it was lowered (oem, and KYB GR2's). If I lived somewhere with no snow I'm sure it would be fine, but I'd like something that I can confidently run in winter without it dying in only a few seasons. Ideally, I'd like them to last as long as oem shocks would last on the oem springs. I've spoken to a few members privately about this and had a few suggestions, but most members had not run their struts through multiple winters yet. I've known others with different lowered cars also on KYB GR2's and they didn't last through winter either, so I'm pretty sure I've ruled that particular strut out.

Can anyone point me in a direction that has lowered, G35 in heavy snowfall experience, half of the year? Thanks in advance!

Yeah mine! I actually live in NYS. I live in the Hudson Valley, we got about 2' of snow and I had the car on coilovers and it ran great. Ran snow tires on my old Kia Forte factory rims (5x114.3 bolt pattern). I'm moving up to Utica in the summer/fall and will be spending the next two years there. They get about 2' - 3' feet of snow up there. I'd be curious to see what the car an do in that kind of weather. Depending on how she handles I might put her in the garage and drive an SUV if I have to because I got a body kit on it.

Thanks for your input. I'm less concerned about how it handles in winter, as opposed to how long the suspension will last. Coilovers here are known to blow AND rust, not one or the other. It's common for some to swap coilovers out each season here for the oem setup, but that's a lot of winter and summer prep.

Unless you mean the coils have survived repeated winters... I'm also not sure how cold it gets in New York. Calgary can at times be around the -35C/-31F range, which I'd imagine plays into the life of the components.

Has anyone run either of the following spring/strut combo's in the winter?

Bilsten B12 Pro kit (designed for a 350Z) http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...368.146.104.28

Or Nismo S-Tune (designed specifically for the G35)?

Thanks!
