Head light question
Head light question
I am not sure if this is the right spot to post this but if not please move the thread.
I have a 2004 G35 coupe the problem is that my driver side headlight went out so I thought it was the bulb I tried replacing the bulb but nothing happens, what I did was put the HID bulb onto the connector thing "Where the picture of a lighting bolt is" I tried turning my head lights on and the bulb doesn't light up so from my mind I am thinking that my ballast has now died?
Because when I put the bulb on the passenger side connector thing and turn the head light on the bulb lights up
so what could be the problem? if one side works the other side don't
OR even better if you live in St.Petersburg FL and would like to stop by let me know!

Go to harbor frieght, amazon, or homedepot and buy a digital multimeter.
Step 1. Test the connection going into the ballast, you should be getting 10.5-12vdc. If it is 0vdc, then you probably blew a fuse.
Step 2. Test the connection coming out of the ballast, you should be getting about 85vac. If it is 85vac, then your bulb is bad. If it is 0vac, then your ballast is bad.

True, but by the time I got your message I already went to go buy the ballast and turns out I got the wrong one lol I bought the aftermarket one that doesn't fit for our car -___-
Btw I was wondering for our head lights is the driver and passenger side connected with 1 fuse or are they separate fuses? because I want to check my fuses but idk where the fuse is located
