G35 Coupe. Coil Overs or lowering Springs?

So i really want to lower my G. Lower it to the point that i dont need camber kit. I dont wanna slam it. I dont know how to begin but whats recommended springs or coil overs a lot in price difference or ride comfort? Im not looking to spend a lot of money so what are some good aftermarket springs or coilovers?

What's a lot of money? A good set of Springs will set you back 225. Coilovers will set you back around 1200.

Unless you own a tire store or can afford to buy new tires every 8 to10K miles there's no way to lower your G without needing a camber kit! There's always one or two members that disagree with me, but I'm correct. I'm going by my own experience lowering SLICK an inch or so and how long it took my front tires to wear out the insides causing the famous tire rooooar!

I mean, you can swap the revised Z suspension to your G for a drop less than aftermarket but you'll still probably WANT camber kits. I say want because you don't NEED camber kits for any drop, but it is always recommend, as mentioned above, due to replacing tires much much sooner and the extra wear on other compenents.
Personally, I just put Eibachs on and the camber isn't as bad as I was expecting to the point where I think I don't need the camber kits but I want them due to knowing the results if left unchanged.
Choice is yours, but Gary is still correct.

I would take this sentiment one step further and suggest that all Gs lowered or not need camber kits. All my tire wear happened before I dropped it like it's hot, and I know there are plenty of stock ones who's tires can't last long.

The only reason anyone with a stock/modified G35 should have tire wear is A. Because your alignment is not within OE specs and your alignment mechanic knows what he's doing B. You have worn suspension parts that need replacing or C. You're running the wrong tire pressure. Everything equal you should get 30K miles wear from your front tires! The rear tires are a different story, I'm always first to leave a stop sign so15K is all I expect.

No, I got 29k miles out of those specific tires with a 360 treadwear rating and my tech is pretty good. However, there was no way to get that camber where it should have been. After that 29k miles the outsides of my front tires looked brand new and the insides were..well..not. Granted my comp rod bushings were gone, however when I replaced them with energy, the camber was still no where near acceptable. Brand new comp rod and LCA poly bushings and the best I could get was -2.0R and -1.9L. With the camber kit, I now run -0.9R and -0.8L and I get complete contact patch.

I run eibach pro-kit, but like I said, it was like this before I lowered it.

From what you've stated. I recommend lowering springs. I have Tanabe NF210 lowering springs on my coupe. They lower the front 1 inch and the rear is just over a half an inch. When I installed them my stock struts and shocks had just over 30,000 miles on them. The ride is a little stiffer than stock but nothing you would complain about. As far as the look and the ride. It's beautiful. My coupe looks beautiful and the ride is beautiful. Since the drop is mild but noticeable I'd check with a good alignment shop before buying a camber kit, you may not need one but let them tell you that. You don't need to spend a $1000 dollars or more to get the ride you want. I know I didn't and with all the compliments you'll get (I know I do) you'll be smiling thinking about all the money you saved.

I like the Tanabe's as well. A clean conservative drop. Eibach Pro Kits and Tein H-Tec might be worth the consideration as well.

Regarding this post has anyone ran the Tein S. Techs on their rides i like a more lower stance on my vehicles im not to concerned with having to buy a camber kit just because i figured that into the equation but i was still debating between the spring or coilover kit

I just got the 350z s techs I'll let u know. But look at it this way- when the shocks in ur coils go bad u have to replace them with a whole new coil or get them rebuilt. When u have springs u can use them forever and replace shocks as needed

I have these as well but after they settle the ride is pretty bad. I enjoy the really nice drop they provide but its really bouncy & you feel everything in the road. Ive had my springs on about 5-8k miles at this point.
