fix the airbag issue first, then if ur friend wants to "race" you, do it on the track...safely and legally. the sunroof will be fine. I survived a couple hailstorms recently..

while it's fun to step on the throttle every now and then... repeated use especially on a high mileage vehicle will wear it down even more... plus our gas mileage sucks already...and we only take premium lol...

since ur dad is a mechanic, he should be able to guide u thru all the basic maintenance..

Paper work for my 03 coupe drivers side air bag connector says warranty repair and that was last year. DTC B1129 open circuit.
It may not be the same thing, but there was a recall. Just the facts mam....

G Child just take your car to the dealer and have it checked out. There's no air bag recalls for 03-04 coupes.

If it was a recall it wouldn't be a warranty repair.

10 year old car, doubt it was warranty, but you might know better.
Customer states air bag light is on and flashing.
Diagnosed DTC B1129 open circuit. As per TSB ITB 12-0346 replaced side air bag connectors. No Charge....

They must have done it because they loved me Whatever it is, it's worth getting diagnosed from dealer. Better safe than sorry.

You stated in your previous post it was a warranty repair.

I guess I also stated it was a recall too One thing you will learn about this forum, there are a ton of knowledgeable people........... I tried to tell him to go to the dealer and get it checked, good callout, that could have been a costly miscommunication mistake. I should be banned from ever posting again

Yes many knowledgeable people but in this case you are wrong but you keeping arguing with me when thats not my intention. If you do some research you'll find that there were no official airbag recalls for 03-04 coupes. The dealership may have worded it wrong, because the service reps write it. Maybe they warranty airbag stuff for a certain amount of time but idk about that. We have already told him multiple times to go and get it fixed, now its on him.

G Child, when you go to the dealership be mindful they'll charge a fee to look at it. At my dealership it costs $130 to do diagnostics. From there they'll tell you the issue, then you can decide if you want to continue with the repair.

Remember, you challenged my assessment and then you call me arguing... Your still a tool for wanting/trying to be right, even thought you said your not sure. If you want to continue, PM me and we can meet up and argue more about some stupid sht. Move on.

i dont know wtf is going on right now and sorry op your thread is lost lol
but if i roll into a infiniti dealer with the airbag light blinking in my 05 coupe they are required to fix the harness under the recall?? the whole recall process throws me off somewhat as to whats covered and whats not.
the inconvenient light reset procedure stopped working months ago

Yeah. Id call the dealership to see if the recall has been performed. Since you have a 2005 there was a recall for the harness under the passenger seat. For a recall they're required to fix the issue at no cost.

Not for a recall. If its not related to the recall then maybe.
