and yes it takes away alot of the light from the headlights, i would recommend against doing it...

That's why I always recommend getting the 3/10 for the fronts. That's what I had on my headlights before, very little affect on light ouptput if any. However, there are people that do like the 6/10's for the headlights. I have 6/10 for the rears with no problems at all
