So I took a trip from OKC to Detroit Mi. the car handled it great all the way up there so great that i got a ticket for doing 96 in a 70 (smh) either way after i got up there and the car set for a couple days i started it up to drive around town and noticed that my air bag light was blinking is this a serious problem how do i diagnose what the issue is has anyone else dealt with this I drive it daily i just first and foremost want to make sure its not going to randomly go off and how to get the light to stop blinking its bugging the **** out of me any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Ignition Key Method:

1) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)
2) After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.
3) Wait 4 seconds
4) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)
5) After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.
6) Wait 4 seconds
7) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)
8) After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.
9) Wait 4 seconds
10) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)
11) Wait 3 seconds
12) Turn IGNITION off
13) Wait 2 seconds
14) START Car (the light may be blinking slower than before)
15) Wait 3 seconds
16) Turn IGNITION off
17) Wait 3 seconds
18) START Car

There was an airbag bts connector recall. If the reset above doesn't work, call your nearest dealership and have them run your vin to see if the recall has been done.

 

ok thanks ill give that a look if this reset doesnt work havent had a chance to do it today had the "honey" do list to take care of all day plus homework

 

Well tried the reset a few times that did not work soooooo i guess ill be looking into this recall today also regarding a window issue i seen that some guys stated that they got theirs from autozone is there a part number and price for this motor thanks everyone for the help

 

I'm having the same issue with the airbag light blinking on my dash. Checked the code and it's to the left side of my driver seat airbag. Reset and that lasted until I parked and restarted her. Stopped by the "Stealership" inquiring about a recall, I was told it doesn't exist! So I'll take SLICK by my Nissan mechanic and have it fixed beginning of next week! It's damn hard for me to enjoy driving with warning blinking on my dash!

I agree Gary its very hard to enjoy and even more of a pain because i hate seeing warning lights it bugs the **** out of me
