Let me start off this thread with saying that if I have posted to the wrong section I apologize and would like this thread to be moved to the correct section.

Earlier today I installed a window motor. It worked fine until I tried the reset procedure and then at first it would drop a little every time it was opened (not like hitting a barrier but like normal) but would not go back up when closed. Then it stopped completely(dropping out of the way when opened). This is the same problem I had with the motor I changed. Went and exchanged it for a new one. Put it t in and as long as I don't reset its not a problem. Everything works normal. My question is why won't the reset procedure work on my car? I'm afraid if my window is ever out of calibration I will have to replace it completely. (Also after resetting it the window drops 1/3rd of the way when using auto up feature even if the door is open)

Edit: should also add that it is an 03 g35 Coupé.
