Waited 1.5 years...finally picked up the '05 G35c 6MT

Hello everyone.

I've been drooling over this car and lurking around this site for a year and a half. I was still in college at the time and I just graduated in December.

Wednesday was my 22nd birthday and I went on Thursday with my fiance and best man to test drive my car that I was getting on Friday.

I'm so in love with this car...everything about it. I don't see myself being swayed away from it by anything for a long while.

Anyways, just wanted to say 'sup to everyone and see if there was anyone in the Houston area that could point me in the direction of a club or something like that. Sugar Land area would be even better!

Just thought I'd throw some pics up there. I know it's nothing but stock, but it's still sick to me.

Yeah the tint is 35% all around. Does anyone know if the clear corners are illegal in Texas?

Also, does anyone have a Valentine 1 and is it worth the money?

Man 1.5 years you sound like me! Congrats on a great looking ride!

I think that the other guys would agree that even after another 1.5 years you will still look back at your car in amazement when you park it at the opposite end of the Walmart Parking lot!

Clear corners are practically illegal everywhere since the reflectors have to be an amber color. But depending on how strict your local cops are, chances are you'll be fine as long as you use an amber bulb with the clears. I've heard about a few times about people getting pulled over for speeding but getting a citation for the lighting instead.. it's unlikely to get pulled over just for the clear corners, especially with amber bulbs. A lot, if not the majority, of the members on this forum have them w/o any problems.

Do a search on the Valentine 1, there are countless threads about it vs the Passport 8500.

Also please check your PMs

duplexx............Best of luck and welcome!!!

Great looking ride you got for yourself,(and future wife of course ) I think you will find the G a fine automobile, that will give you endless hours of enjoyment.

Break in period is critical, so follow the manuals instructions, and enjoy your new addition(s)
