Dry Run To Install K&N Filter
Dry Run To Install K&N Filter
Hey Gang.....with all the fuss thats been posted regarding the difficulty of getting to our intake / induction box to change out the air filter I just had to check it out. The airbox assembly looks nasty until...you remove the hold down bolt on the right side of the rear section of the box, release four clips, disconnect the MAF, lift up and push back against the black rubber convoluted sleeve. Walla, there's the filter. Slide it up and out. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I'll be doing it for real next week. At least this is how my airbox opened up on my "G". It's tight, don't get me wrong....but it's better than undoing the whole assembly and popping fasteners everywhere. I had chance to trace all the inlet tubes and didn't realize we have three intakes. the first along the radiator top, the second, the "Power Duct" opening and the third, a smaller cold air intake opening behind the lower right front cross hatched insert below the bumper. Not to bad for a stock induction system.
