Help: Is this VIN sticker fake?
Help: Is this VIN sticker fake?
Hoping some veterans with a 2005 G35 coupe can help me out. I'm about to buy a car 400 miles away and before I head there I'd like to be sure it's something I'm going to buy. I was sent this picture of the VIN sticker but I'm having trouble believing this is real. First, it looks like there's a second sticker on the bottom. Second, I really have trouble believing Infiniti/Nissan would have spelling errors on their VIN stickers. Can somebody help me? Picture attached.
*Edit: Can someone with a 2005 G35 coupe check their driver's side VIN sticker for me?

That's what I'm thinking. The only thing that's giving me pause is another picture that he sent, when zoomed in all the way I could make out the VIN plate on the engine block as circled in the picture and I could make out the first few letters and numbers and the last few numbers and they match with the VIN he gave me.
Please do. Help someone get back their stolen G!!!

Weird......My 06 has the exact same spelling error and it looks like there's another sticker under...Could this just be a flaw overlooked by Infiniti/Nissan on the 05-06 Models? And maybe the sticker under is just a blank underlay so they know where to put the sticker?
I doubt my G's stolen or something, I bought it used at the dealership with a clean history.

Thanks for checking. That's a pretty silly mess up by corporate.
Mine was on the driver side door.
