dude, that grill is probably painted. I knew someone that had a paint shop spray their original grill black.

NO, its not like "mesh grill" its exact like the stock grill just about the black chrome color.....god damn i saw that today and it was hella sexy....

Is the stock grill not black chrome on all coupes? Our '04 has what I would call a smoked grill, especially compared to the bright chrome emblem in the middle of it. Or is this something even darker you have seen?

 

I've seen one of these too. I believe that the finish is carbon nickle on the stock grill but I have no idea where to get one. If you find out please let me know as I'd love to get one.

I have seen a few grilles like that....it is the stock grille painted. I like the look also but the paint does not adhere to the grille that well

 

I don't think you can powdercoat plastic right? Isn't the front grille plastic?

 

the infiniti dealer will do it for you!!! any dealer. everywhere. at least they should. It costs about $150 - $300 depending on what you want blackened. they offered to do my emblems (front and back), and letters, but leave the grill chromed. they can also probably do the reverse (emblem chrome - rest of grill black).
