Clutch Pedal Stuck... Really Worried.
UPDATE: Decided not to take my car to Firestone, cuz like everyone said, I've had some shitty experiences with them. That's good to know about the Nissan dealership though. Anyway, I bled the clutch hard for 2-3 hours, slowly but surely the clutch came back to it's normal position, and began to stiffen up. It's drive able now. But it still feels a little loose, only at the top though. Is this normal? If not, how can I fix it? I want my clutch to feel new if I can.
Well how would I figure out for sure? I've heard it could be the clutch bracket? How would I go about checking?
I just had a similar problem even though I never found any leaks.
Parked my car at work (clutch was starting to stick) & when I came back to leave for home the clutch had no spring & I couldn't put it in gear.
I had it towed to Infiniti and they found the slave cylinder hose was leaking.
Replacing it fixed the problem

If it is the slave cylinder you won't see any leaks outside. The way they work is by line pressure, when a part inside fails pressure drops and so does your pedal. I replaced two of these clutch cylinders on my last Z in 125K miles. On both I was able to bring the pedal back to the top and drive for a day or two before it became difficult to change gears...Gary
My friend is the mechanic, but when we did mine the trans was already out since i was doing the Throw Out bearing/sleeve. Im pretty sure you can just lift the car and do it underneath (driver side of the trans house). Here's what I used below, the Wilwood master clutch cyl was necessary, but i thought i was too fast and too furious at the time wasting money.........Z1 has all these parts as well i beleive

Hey everyone. I own a 2005 g35 coupe 6 speed manual with 107k on it. So earlier today, I was driving around and everything felt fine, nothing unusual. I got home, and put the clutch in to put the car in first so I don't slide down my driveway, then turn the car off. I took my foot off the clutch but the clutch pedal didnt come up. I tried to take it out for a drive and figure out what's up, but the car acts as if the clutch is not engaging at all. It won't let me shift gears. Also, the engine idles really low and is starting up slower than usual, instead of the usual 700 idle it is at like 300. But it's weird because the car drove all day fine up until this.... Any idea what's going on? I'm really worried :/ thanks for any help .
Forgot to add, when I start it, the car pulls forward... Slowly but noticeably. I start my car in first gear.

My clutch starts sticking almost every time i drive with the AC during warm summer days. It started two years ago and i had the master cylinder replaced and things went fine. During this summer, it did the same thing but i doubt i will be replacing any parts as i know that this stickiness does not occur during winter.
Another note for sticky clutches is the clutch fluid. It should always be almost transparent like water with a light golden shade. Anything darker means that the fluid's boiling point gets lower and may cause stickiness.

The Problem is back. It is not bad enough to make the car not drivable, but the clutch is sticking and my clutch fluid goes down very fast. It was at the min level a week after bleeding it and topping it off, so i topped it off again but the clutch was still sticky. So i obviously have a leak, but what part needs replacing? The master or slave?
Shifting is very rough in first and second. And my clutch feels loose. I ordered a slave cylinder for 45 bucks off the concept z site, I really hope that's what the problem
Is

Bringing this thread back, since this happens on and off with my 05coupe.
The a/c being on may be a factor. I'm trying to remember when I drive with the a/c on and off when the clutch starts to stick. But either way it shouldn't stick when you use the a/c or not. I will do a test the next time I drive the car, at first with the a/c off, then on to verify.
I figured it would be the clutch slave, which is like $30-40 if you buy online (more depending on brand). I called the usual shop I go to (Midas), and told them my clutch pedal issue. The tech that kinda knows what he's doing suggested changing the Clutch master cylinder instead, for a total of about $200 parts/labor. I will probably just have them change the slave cylinder too while they are at it.

I get the same thing from a launch. Should be installing a wilwood cylinder pretty soon. Will let u know how that goes. In the meantime u should siphon the clutch fluid out and refill. pump the pedal and repeat about 4 times until its clear.
