I recently purchased a 2003 G coupe with 59k miles. Well my issue is when I go to turn on the car with the clutch pushed in all the way the car sometimes doesn't want to start. I have checked the forums and found similar problems but mine seems to be unique. When I turn the key hear the engine turn but I do not hear the usual cranking noise if you know what I mean. Its as if only the timing chain is turning... Can anyone assist me with finding out what can be wrong?

Edit: So my problem ended up being a bad starter. The noise I was hearing was the starter not properly engaging with the flywheel so it made kind of a grinding sound.
