How did you get to 300 whp with a 5AT?

Not including boosted applications, but trying to set a goal for myself of reaching 300 whp on my 2006 5AT..

Just seeing what everyone else has done to their rides to get there. I would love to turbo my car but unfortunately money isn't pouring in like I'd like it, hopefully after school is over...

If you don't have the money to boost you don't have the money to hit 300whp
Honest truth

Lol it can be as slow as you want man but it's still gonna require a good bit of $$

Check my350. They have a few good threads about members who hit that mark.

Either a fully built N/A setup or nitrous. Nitrous would be the easier route.

400 is a bit much... it's my daily, figure 300 shouldn't be too demanding on the engine over time... i don't mind if it takes me a year or two to get there...

maybe ill jus finish off my boltons and see where I'm at then..

one of your bolt ons should be PPE LTHs and cams.

its gonna be a long road and your gonna spend more money than just saving and boosting it. i have an 04 5at and i did all the bolt ons and a tune and only got to 286 to the wheel. maybe with cams and higher compression you will get there but then drive-ability suffers. but to each their own.

If you can stomach the hood you might be able to pick up a used stillen SC. those usually put you around the 300 mark. probably still be cheaper than full boltons +cams.

hmm....well so far...my future upgrades that I've thought of look like this..
- Headers by Motordyne (Spoke to Tony, yes this is his new product he is coming out with)
- Aluminum driveshaft
- NWP BBTB
- Furookie Intake 3.5"
- Uprev Osiris Tune

Looking at the difficulties and $ I will be spending just to reach my goal, I might as well just do the above upgrades, be satisfied with those for a little while and just save for boost. Thanks for the input everyone.

You have an exhaust or test pipes or a md spacer?
Common sense things I know but I didn't see you mention them
