06 MT coupe rocking

Hi guys,

I'm new to manual and RWD cars. I have noticed that my car would rock back and forth when i drive over a speed bump (rather than only moving up and down due to the springs). Can somebody shed some light what might be the issue? could a bad differential bushing do this?

Thanks

It's the crappie throttle by wire that is jercky then u go over a bump the car rocks, more, you rock more, your foot rocks more, the gas pedal rocks more, and it goes into an infiniti loop and the computer locks up and explodes the universe

Vlascoff, I'm surprised you haven't been over this thread! Anything you drive over speed bumps is going to rock what you're driving! How does your G feel driving down the road, like a ship at sea? If so, you need shocks...Gary

If you hit them fast enough you'll just fly over them

Just install some coilovers and drop her way down. That way you'll scrape over the speed bumps like the rest of us and you won't have to worry about rocking.

BC coilovers are the choice of many members here on Driver, good choice! However, ride height has very little to do with braking and acceleration! More to do with your butt dyno and how you feel about what you're driving. Which camber kit did you install or does your family own a tire company?

None of the FWD cars i drove would rock forward and backwards.. im not talking about side to side or up and down.

I drive over them slowly, without pressing the gas pedal, so no jerky throttle by wire

Maybe the bolts on your seat are loose. If the car is literally rocking back and forth u should take a look under there you probably don't have any bushings.

definitely not the seat bolts, because even if i press on the trunk when the car is parked it still does that motion. (no wheel movement). will check under the car when i get some ramps. because atop this issue it also makes a click when i drive over uneven terrain. its not the axle lick. thinking more of a bushing issue yet again.

Yeah the stock g35 bushings suck. The ones on the lca's will wear out and completely move back and forth in its little mount on the subframe. If you still have stock bushings you should look in to buying a complete kit from one of the vendors here and replace ALL of them.

In a way less energy is wasted in pitching the vehicle..or rocking the vehicle

your xenon fluid is leaking into the sub frame causing the flux capacitor to "flex" or "bend" causing the car to "rock" in a "sideways" motion.
