I highly doubt anyone will laugh and point at you as you drive by based on the color you choose. It's your car. Do what makes you happy. Everybody was quick to attack you and order you not to paint them a certain way. Very few people answered your question. But I'm sure there are plenty of threads about how to do it properly.
There's no reason to do it. It doesn't look better, it doesn't prevent brake fade, it doesn't slow you down faster or stop you faster. They go in the same category as strut bars for me: Decorative do-nothings. And they don't even do that well. Theyre ugly on top of all that.

Point and laugh all you want, there are a few members like myself who look at the small details on our rides! Painting calipers so they don't distract from our wheels, painting the dipstick handle because orange sucks or polishing the air conditioning lines because they look better polished! Do-nothings? No just pleasing to those who care about what we drive...Gary
