I recommend the g2 kit over paint all day. Its a tad more expensive but i have done 1 car done for 4+ years & they still look as good as they did on day one. I did my G in silver & they have been holding up great since day one as well. Maybe close to a year or so on the silver kit with no complaints.

Easy to apply & does not flake, peel or dis-color.

You already said it, "you don't have the money".. That means don't fake it.. Just paint them black, no need to see crappie stock calipers

Time involved and high cost, this is a waste of your $$! When I installed my first set of Volks I painted my calipers with high heat rattle can dark blue to match SLICKS body color. That was 8 years ago and they still look good without cracks or peeling.

This is why you don't paint stock calipers anything other than silver:
Stock pained caliper (notice its two pieces. The bracket and caliper):Name: caliper7.jpg
Views: 47
Size: 19.8 KB

And a real BBK (all one big piece. Very clean):Name: Caliper05.jpg
Views: 50
Size: 43.6 KB

A lot of people think its the paint that makes stock calipers look like crap painted, but the problem is really in the fact that they aren't made to be decorative. The BBK is. So, unless you want people to point and laugh as you drive by (you know..like the guy who wears a fedora), just leave em alone.

I painted mine black and my center silver. You may as well do the center so that it doesn't get rusty over time. There is a brush on caliper kit by duplicolor. It works great. Any other color besides black or grey looks cheeezy. Stay away from the fake plastic covers! A member on here FrankieG35 put some on his Sentra and they melted over time.

I'm confused. Don't red calipers make you stop faster?

I highly doubt anyone will laugh and point at you as you drive by based on the color you choose. It's your car. Do what makes you happy. Everybody was quick to attack you and order you not to paint them a certain way. Very few people answered your question. But I'm sure there are plenty of threads about how to do it properly.
