Prices for Tires?

Heya All,

Just wondering how much new 19" tires cost for the '05 G35 Coupe. What kind of life can I expect from the stock 19" tires, which models/brands should I purchase when it comes time to replace those tires, and how much do they cost?

Also, what's considered a good out the door price on an '05 G35c AT LS/Stone with the Sport Package, Navi, Premium, and Aero Body Kit (without spoiler)? (and which dealership did you buy it from... I live in the San Diego area, by the way.)

Thanks!

Tirerack had some 19's for around $211 on "special" a few weeks ago. I forgot the brand though and they were original size tires only.

They have a pretty good price on Kumho's. Michelin Pilot Sports are a li'l expensive.

Cool

The Tirerack has always been my first choice even with shipping and installation charges from my local shop, they are "cheaper" overall.

My second choice would be;

http://www.treadepot.com/td.c/orders/index.html

I have done business with both in the past. However, I found Treadepot to be quite expensive with shipping charges. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I was thinking of doing Bridgestone S03 in 245/35ft 265/35rr(they are the only ones i've found that make 265/35) I haven't calculated the size yet but I think throwing 275s on the stock 19s would buldge more than I want. Anyway I think those run $280 ft $310 rr. Pricey, but I don't want to decrease performance by putting on some budget tires (if there is such a thing as a budget tire in this size)

kumho's are not a good replacement... you have a $30k+ car with a very nice suspension, don't cheap out on one of the biggest factors when it comes to ride and handling.

I hear ya....some people have reported some pretty good things about Kumho. Prolly not as good as Michelin but there aren't that many options in our tire sizes out there.

I have had the unfortunate privilage of putting kumhos on my RSXS twice. (dont ask) I really dispise these tires. I was trying to be "cost effective" but I got what I paid for. Never again...

If I had it to do over I'd probably have gone with the 265s. The 275s look fine but there is a little bit of a bulge. FYI all 4 bridgestones shipped from the Tire Rack ended up about $1450. If you're wondering how they look check out the link in my sig.

I think you are really off base here. Don't discount the Kumho MX. They rated 2nd to the Pilots in a Tirerack comparison by a single point.

I had these on my CLS and I have to admit that, bar-none, they were the stickiest tires with a bad-*** tread pattern (just huge blocks of rubber!). The only problem I had with them is that they flat-spotted a bit on my CLS in cold weather (because that car was too heavy for their load rating at that size).

I would not hesitate to replace the Pilots with these tires, not because of the cost savings but honestly because I think they handle better and look better than the Pilots--you should try them--you might be pleasantly surprised!

Ya I figured that's about what it would cost. I don't think it bulges too bad, but I think 265s would fit a little better. Thanks for the pix.

BTW can anyone tell me where to get some wheel spacers for the new 19s (I imagine the offset is about the same as the 03/04s. I just want the wheels to sit a little more flush.
