Tranmisson AT to manual swap or paddle shifter?

As in the title, i know it sound kinda stupid to somebody but that's what i thinking to do. Mine is 07 coupe and after done some research i see that it can be installed paddle shifter which cost about 500$. cause im thinking to modify my car for track day later on so what do you guys think? tranmisson swap or paddle shifter.
-i know you gonna say sell it and get a manual but i have done some mod on it so i dont really want or think about sell it.
-idk how does it sound to bring a AT to track but i know there is some race car with AT+paddle shifter out there

Tranny swap is way more expensive and involved but you'll enjoy it 10x more. The rear ends are usually different between auto and 6MT too, so you will have slightly taller gearing than a standard factory 6MT if you only swap the tranny. I actually would like to have an auto rear end in my G (or even lower) since I think the gears are a bit short as is for a factory 6MT, but performance would suffer in terms of acceleration and speed and improve in terms of fuel economy. The difference is very minor though. We only are talking about a difference of 150 RPM @ 80 MPH.

This would be your new RPM at speed:

Paddle shifters will make your AT more fun to drive and cost you one hell of a lot less! You could always add a shifter kit if you want stronger shifts!

yes, i was thinking that way too, Gary. since Tranny swap cost alot and see that ppl said its not worth it so i think paddle shifter will be the best choice for my budget. the only thing that i dont like AT is the foot parking brake or whatever that called. i couldnt find any thread that actually do did swap. some only said its just cost alot and not worth it, but some said it easy and all about wiring and find part for replacment.

Wait you want to make a hand break, like a manual? It does seem easy to visualize the needed hardware. I.e find a manual 07 partout, get the Center console and handbreak hardware, then check the service manual for how it's mount in 07 coupes and reroute the cables. Sounds easy enough, DO IT!

You are super high on your add a paddle shift quote, if you get some g37 paddle shifters you can wire them up and they look like factory and work great

Nothing wrong with bringing an AT to the track.

If you really wanna go hard. Tranny cooler + shift kit, and you'll be golden.

+1 on that, Honestly i don't feel that the auto in this car is bad at all. if you learn how to drive it well (timing wise) with the select shift, you can certainly maximize its potential.

I wonder if the paddle shifter is compatible with an 06 AT coupe?

I have 2 extra mini relays I could part with. I bought a bundle of 4 and those paddles just haven't installed them yet. I was waiting until I get the transgo kit installed first.

The discription kinda confuse me. It says g35 sedan all years model, not really mention about coupe until the end
