IMPORTANT QUESTION regarding interior

O.K its not important just wanted to get you attention.
sorry =) (an old marketing trick)

Well, I just ordered my coupe this month, I got the Ivory Pearl 5AT (to lazy to drive stick) with no options, I really mean no options, not even leather nor splash guards... (I'm a cheap bastard) j/k. The suspension, wheels, and sound system are changing, so why waste money.
Any who, I was wondering If anyone has the non leather coupe and can post, or e-mail me some pictures. After my test drive (a red/ black leather coupe) I was all excited about this beautiful beast, and didn't care about how the cloth interior looked, still don't, I know she'll be a beauty regardless. but just currious to see how she will look.
Thanx in advance.....
Discreetly yours.

Leather Is Beautiful, money is nice too but the way I look at it the resale Is higher with leather. Just my opinion it's your G. Can't say I've seen any G's or Pics with cloth though. Good Luck And Enjoy The Car.

To each his own. Some people go out of their way to order BMW's with cloth seats.

Leather survives children and the things they spill a bit better than cloth.

Re: IMPORTANT QUESTION regarding interior

I know people are like "what?? why buy a luxury car and not want the luxury" well, I had a BMW with leather couple years ago, I did not like feel of the leather after a long ride, I felt "stuck" to the seat, uncofortable. Now I drive Nissan Sentra SE 2001 (had to step down to pay for school). And like the feel of the seats, so decided to get cloth, afer long 5hr drives (L.A to San Francisco, Napa Valley) I feel better in cloth. See I'm not a "cheap bastard" ,,just like the comfort of cloth Well any photos would be of great help, to keep me calm for te next 2-3 months I have left of waiting.......
Ps.. This is how I will Fix her up

No leather? No stick? Too lazy?

Dude... sorry to say this, but you don't deserve a G35. This is a DRIVER'S CAR, not some rice box...

BTW - the Premium Package includes not only an upgraded 225 watt Bose stereo, but a very nice sunroof.

Call me an old man, accuse me of liking the ability to hear into old age, but I can't even begin to fathom why anyone would want to tear out a perfectly good stereo system in favor of some 50 jillion giga-watt boom box. The Bose system in my Coupe is plenty fine just as it is. Heck, even my 17 year old daughter thinks it rocks - and that's saying something.

Personally, I think you ought to cancel your order and get a Honda. Don't waste a perfectly good G35 Coupe like that.

Re: IMPORTANT QUESTION regarding interior

I'll get flamed for this ... but dude ...

DO WHAT YOU WANT ..get what you want ...

you dont like leather ? ... get cloth... your changin stuff ..change away !!!

I havnt seen any pics of a cloth one ...ask for samples at the dealer maybe? I'm sure its not bad at all. Not my flavor ... but hey not MY car.

YOUR car will be somewhat lighter by the sounds of it too... so she may go a wee bit better ..

point is ... YOUR car ... YOUR payin .. do what YOU want man.

Take care bro.

"Conquie: Personally, I think you ought to cancel your order and get a Honda. Don't waste a perfectly good G35 Coupe like that."

The guy was just asking opinions about the cloth version, not whether you approve of him getting a G35C base model or not, sheesh. Who are you to judge if somebody deserves the G35C anyway? Its their money, not yours. Besides, he did give his reasons for not wanting leather, and some people refuse to get leather because it is sticky when it is hot outside.

discreet_arts, I have not seen the cloth model, but they say it is only available in the willow color. If you do decide to get the cloth version you can install after market leather if you change your mind. However, I dont know how good they are going to be. The fact that only about 5% of coupes will be available in cloth (I read it somewhere on this forum), not many people are going to be able to say how the cloth looks like.

Please post pics of your cloth coupe when you get it!

EDIT: Oops I did not see your post ThinkFast! You have any interior pics of your cloth coupe by any chance?

Re: IMPORTANT QUESTION regarding interior

Let's ease up on the leather vs. cloth issue. Cloth is warmer in winter, cooler in summer, easier to clean and maintain, and many people argue more comfortable in general. Leather's only advantage is that it looks gorgeous. That's enough for me (plus these leather seats are incredibly comfortable), but preferring cloth is a valid position.

On the other hand, I'm not going to defend an overpowered stereo. Even the Bose, which most find unimpressive, rattles my windows at moderate volume and the bass up a few notches. Putting in an audiophile's system I can see, but not a block thumper. You don't need that to get attention in this car, trust me.

Re: IMPORTANT QUESTION regarding interior

Well thanks for all the post...
As for the stereo changing... I'm not one of those big bass bumpin' fools.. as for bose.... I know bose is great but have seen problems in coupes, I'm just changing the stock speakers to more decent ones. No big *** sub for me.
Well 5% have cloth... kewl we'll be unique =)
Thanks again
might just go to the dealer and see if they have sedan with cloth....
Thinkfast... If you can post pix that would be great... thanks
