Is anyone unhappy with the metra double din
I'm shopping for a double din for my 03. The dash is a grayish silver color, not sure the exact color.
Anyway how cheap looking is the metra? Does the color match? Is the fitting good?
Idk if I'm stubburn or what but i think its insane for jdm to charge so much for a 03 kit wich probably cost 10 bucks to make.

I think that's a misconception that the jdm kit costs only $10 to make (I know you're using hyperbole). Its by no means a cheap piece of plastic that you would find in a generic dash kit at your local audio store. Its a factory made part with paint, the circuit board and not to mention quality. You're not just paying for the parts, but also the r&d and engineering that went into building the unit.
If anything its the metra kit that's a rip off. It doesn't match, they just copied the wiring and they use cheap plastic and rubber. They have little invested other than the materials and for $200 it doesn't make sense. The JDM kit is outstanding and worth every penny so long as you plan on keeping your car for awhile.
