Oil Catch Can Questions

HELP!!! Oil Catch Can Questions
Im new to the G game and this is my first post. I am the proud owner of a black 05 6MT coupe that is my baby! Anyway, I have read about the oil consumption problem that the VQ35 are known to have. My G doesn't seem to be going through as much oil as some of the cars that I have read about, but that doesn't deter me from wanting to cut out any oil consumption. So, I ordered an oil catch can based on others success with them. My questions are:
- Why do you only run the catch can from the passenger side PCV valve?
- Do you just leave the driver's side valve alone?
- Should it be a sealed system or have the filter attachment?
I know this subject has been beaten to death, but any help or referrals to older posts/diagrams will be greatly appreciated!:driving

i would guess rotation of engine would be why people would use the passenger side over the driver side but idk that one for sure. but I have always heard a filter catch can is better hands down over a closed system. this comes from more then just g drivers and I couldn't give you exact reasons as I don't have one yet myself. but hope it helps a tiny bit for you

Welcome to G35 Driver 05C6MT! Try doing a Search using the words Catch can install, you'll discover the catch can is connected to more than just the PVC valve. Most quality catch cans are filtered internally not externally unless you bought the wrong one! We were all new to Infiniti at some point, knowledge is power so you need to read all the stickys at the top of the coupe page and use our Search when you have questions.
