This is crazy but I went to the dealer today and they had only one pre sold 6mt with a build date of 10-2004 . mine was 12-2004. Maybe you got a 2004 makeup. What was your build date? Dennis

Dennis,

How do I find the build date? Is it a part of the VIN?

unless you have carbon fiber rotors=( Ferrari Enzo), The rotors will rust, I don't care what car you have they all rust. Just dirve the car a few blocks and all the rust will be gone.

I wish we had better weather here in Utah. My break in is about 120 miles old. IM from the old school about break in. Fast cars break in fast. I do not beat her real hard but I do get on it and this car just seams to surprise me everytime. IM from Covina California and the roads in So Cali suck. When you get the time swap your tires to "toyo's" I cannot tell you how much better your ride will be with the toyo's. About the rust with the brakes its just life with all this rain this year. Try buying a rug made of 'jute' It absorbs moisture and it will solve a lot of problems. I have no rust on my brakes. I will send a few PICS of my ride. Its under the mod mode right now. Pulleys, cali, Ground wires, Frt lip spoiler.
