Door moulding.

I took the plunge and removed the body mouldings off the car and everything turned out great except for one side of the door. I have some paint fade but also a line I can't get off I tried a rubbing compound and nothing. When I bought the car the Carfax said it was hit from behind and all they had to do is get a new bumper and spray the quarter to blend it. But I think they blended the door as well and I am thinking the didn't take off the moulding on the door. Now I am left with a line that I think might be clear coat. Does anyone know a good way of going about this or am I looking at a body shop to do it.

If it is clear coat, I suggest wetsand, compound & polish.
