There is no way it can be as entertaining as the Craftsman race on Thursday night. NE1 else c that? It was one of the most entertaining races I have ever seen. And the end was just crazy with the one guy going into the winners circle and having to back out because he didnt really win. Could be another one of those Southwest ads "Wanna get away?"
I love how Nascar is advertised as the "Fastest drivers in the world!"
Im not bashing you guys when I say this, but it simply takes more skill to drive an F1 race than a Nascar race. Nascar has their cars setup to turn in only 1 direction, and braking and aerodynamics are NOT at a premium. Suffice to say that the engine and tire technology is nothing to write home about.
But hey, if it fills your tank, then so be it!
I just prefer F1 for the more interesting tracks(no ovals), primo technology, ridiculous g-forces(up to 5gs in a decreasing radius turn), aerodynamics that theoretically allow the cars to drive upside down, pit girls
, the scream of a v10 at 19,200 RPM, the insane budgets(mercedes spending $1Billion over the next 4 years just on F1 engine development, and the fact that most drivers in all forms of motorsports greatly respect what it takes to drive an f1 car at the limit.
Did any of you guys see when BMW let Jeff Gordon drive Juan Pablo Montoya's F1 car last year at a private session at Indy? Jeff Gordon, after 5 laps or so, gets out of the f1 car clenching his neck saying, "damn, I really need to work out my neck more if I ever want to get used to the G forces in that thing!"
Yes, there are many uber talented Nascar drivers. With Jeff Gordon being top on my list. Would love to see him do some more testing.
Even DiMatta, after dominating CART, is barely as quick as his teammate in F1 !
The season is about to start!!!! 13days, 6 hours, and 8 minutes!

I would like to see Tony Stewart have the same opportunity. He seemed like a jerk in his IRL days, but he can drive just about anything, and does so all the time. Just missed winning the Daytona 24 two years in a row. A lot of talent there.
F1 is, of course, incredible. But it could use some closer racing and passing.
All I can say is, the new commercials during that race, were better than the ones during the Super Bowl. Bud Light, UPS, etc. The commercials were incredible as well as halarious!
As far as wrecks, yeah. I saw that #22 car doing some barrel rolls.
That wreck was nasty! And, yes. That was one helluva finish today.
