The grille and color you chose depends on the color of your ride too. I never considered a black grille for SLICK since she is blue, black doesn't work for me! The black/white and silver coupes/sedans all look good with the black emblem less grilles in my opinion. Having seen that chrome rattle can makes me wonder how well that would work and look?

Yes. It just looked like a Honda Civic grille with an Infiniti badge on it.

So I painted my OEM grill, am I suppose to sand it down a little and buff it? I used satin black and theres a few dots of paint that sprayed out onto my grill.

In a (very small) nut shell, the proper way to do it is sand the whole thing down, lay primer, sand, then follow that up with the paint color of your choice, then clear coat. Do it in several passes to avoid running.

Are the dots large blobs or are they smaller specks? Did you use a rattle can?

Yea I used a rattle can and its just small specks. I painted it satin and there's a little Orange peel so I'm wondering if I should sand that down a little then clear coat or no need clear?

Raeyang, I'm guessing you didn't remove the grille from your car. I would have said I'm "Assuming" but I don't use that word...hardly ever! Before laying on paint the grille needs to be removed/cleaned scuffed then shot with a rattle can of that high heat paint, that sh*t covers everything!

Thanks Gary! I did scuff then primed just to make sure the paint sticks on good but I think I rushed the satin layers a little which is why there's orange peel now and I'm not sure how to get rid of that texture.. also do people paint their emblem too just so that the front is chrome? Or do they leave the whole thing untouched?
