Definitely get rid of the black. You'll want to stick with silver, gunmetal, or graphite color scheme with that blue. OEM Rays is solid choice on a cheaper budget, easily under 1k including tires.

Having the same problem. Have the same color coupe I have OEM rays but there beat up, curb rash, just don't look nice. I was looking for some nice silver xxr's or something like that.
Cheap cast wheels, your roughed up Rays are still better than those.
Every style of wheel they have is a replica of a quality brand wheel...just find the style you want and then search around for a better version, you'll be better off in the long run.
I've never understood why people ask for help choosing things like wheels, it's a personal thing. Look around, see what you like and go from there is my advice.
Do an image search on Google. There are some pretty bada$$ looking Caribbean Blue G35 coupes that have silver or silver/chrome with a gold face wheels.
When spending those big $$ on items like wheels or exhaust systems you need to see/hear them in person! Attend meets/shows in your area and find something you can't live without. Like members posted above the '06 coupe wheels look great but so do the G37 coupe wheels or GT-R wheels and they won't drain your wallet. (much) Gary
The OEM 19s Rays will fit fine no issues.
The 370Z Rays have a front offset of 47 on 19x9 which is HELLASUNK and will require spacers (20-25MM) but the rears will be fine, you may want a spacer in the back to even it all out though
You won't get deep lip wheels for 2000 bux...unless you know the wheel game (rebuilding/rebarreling/etc). But, you can get some nice wheels in the marketplace or get some new knock-offs that everyone will tell you look horrible even though they look like the wheel that they're replicating. Whatever you do, don't go to carID, ebay vendors, xxx.com wheel site. You might want to try vr wheels. They have good used wheels and they can rebuild something for you. With the budget you have, you can put something together that way.
That said, get 3-piece Work Meister's, 19x9.5 +10f 240/35/19 19x11 0r 275/35/19. Neo-chrome lips with a brushed aluminum face. Brushed aluminum wheel cap with blue anodized valve stems. Tires should be Goodyear, Falken, Nexxen, Dunlop, Hankooks or something along those lines. Maybe even a BFGoodrich. Stay away from Nitto's as their sidewalls are extra hard. So are Pirellies.
