Must not have looked very hard, I found it in about 30 seconds It's located under the dash like I said. It's called a ASCD clutch switch. Look in the service manual on page EC-644 there's a picture of it there. Should be pretty obvious at that point.

So after digging more into this and looking at the fsm more in depth it says:

When the clutch pedal is depressed, power is supplied
● through clutch interlock switch terminal 2
● to IPDM E/R terminal 53.

there are only two wires on the clutch interlock switch, which is connected to a button that is pressed down when the clutch is completely engaged. neither of the wires are supplying power when the button is pressed. ive tried with key in, with ign on, with acc on. anyone have any insight on this?

ugh. so i had my acc wire for my push button disconnected earlier. it looks like this switch only provides power when acc is on. because when a key turns it goes past the acc on first, so if i want to use this wire id have to cycle through the cycles before i could get to start signal from this wire... gah, im thinking about running a line from the battery to another sensor if i buy the same one adn just having this button run to the signal for the push start.

i am also considering cutting the input signal wire from the acc switch and just wiring it to the battery but idk if that input signal line is used for anything else and if i disconnect it if it will cause any issues.

think ill just run a different clutch pedal position switch

I looked at a 2003 and a 2005 wiring diagram for that system, both have the same color coded wires. With the Ignition switch in the start or on position and with the brake pedal released, you should have power at the dark blue wire. The wiring diagram shows a L (Blue) and a SB (Sky Blue) wire at the Automatic Speed Control Device (ASCD) Clutch Switch. If you don't have 12V at the dark blue wire don't forget to check the 10A fuse #12 in case it blew while you were trying to figure things out.

Go to advanced auto, get the add a circuit fuse then find a 12v constant in the fuse box

i got it. i basically did that though. i cut the power supply signal to the clutch interlock switch (which provides 12v power when acc on and then when the switch is pressed down (ie clutch engaged) it sends 12v to ignition to allow the car to start) and wired it to a 12v from the battery. i actually tested using the add a circuit to see if it worked, which it did. i have it wired to the 12v constant from the alarm at the moment

thanks guys for all the help.

I was wondering why you wouldn't just use your constant from the alarm... Usually remote starts and alarms turn into cluster fncks of wires working off each other lol. The add a circuit thing was also a super easy route, but since you already had the 12v+ wired from the battery, eh. Let us know if the remote start function works after it's all said and done.

.cakestar, is your wiring holding up?

Gerardo, I ran into about three different ways to do that when reading .cakestar's posts here in this thread. Do what he did
