Just got my coupe dynoed for the first time on Saturday. Car has 4K miles on it and I was lucky enough to hook up with the Toyota Matrix club for a dyno day at Modacar of Livermore. This was a great opportunity for me to get a good baseline before I install the 3/8" Motordyne Plenum Spacer. Only mods I had before my baseline are in my sig. I 'm actually looking forward to some dyno days here in Norcal in the future. Modacar is a very professionally run shop (the cleanest I've ever been too), and they gave the Matrix Club a great deal of 3 pulls for $40.00 because there were over 15 cars on the list to dyno. I of course had the only G there and they were nice enough to let me pull first since I was RWD and required a slightly different dyno setup from the FWD Matrixs'. There were more people gathered around the in-shop LCD Monitor looking at the pulls for my G than there were for their own cars. They were a great bunch of guys/gals. They really liked the G... It is a Lotus Elise and sorry...I don't have any pictures of it. Like an idiot I didn't bring my camera to the meet and so I had to rely on the guys from the Matrix Club to post pictures. The Elise is there because Modacar's other division is currently working on a turbo setup that Lotus dealers can add to their cars as an option if a customer wants. The one in the picture is their R&D car.

 

I don't know. I really wish I had found this place before I had done anything to the car. That would've been a true baseline. Unfortunatly I installed the Z tube and Stillen airbox the first week I had the car. Couldn't keep well enough alone...

Do you know of any future G35 dyno days at Modacar?

 

It was a Dynojet at Modacar in Livermore, CA. There's going to be another Dyno Day next month on the 19th and hopefully by then I'll have my 3/8" plenum spacer installed.
