Not to hijack your thread man but what about the 15K service. What exactly is necessary with that? I had already planned on doing the in-cabin air filter change myself but my dealer quoted me for over $200 at Jim Coleman for this service.

Maybe you can advise me YG35 since you've had the 15K done. If I dont get a response I'll search some more or post my own thread.

Thanks!

As long as your having a shop with certified technicians, you can go anywhere you want. As long as they do all the mandatory things that infiniti would do. You can even do it yourself. Just have documentation for warranty issues. You will NOT void your warranty as long as you have documentation that the work was done. In Washington there are only two infiniti dealerships, and are owned by one company, so they basically try to rape you on service. So, I go to a nissan dealership and get the same service for a little cheaper.

So are you saying if I am to do something such as changing the in-cabin air filter myself not being certified that although it was done, if something is to go wrong down the line that pertains to that filter its not covered by warranty because I tried to do it myself?

there are 3 in the dc area , Passport (good), Coleman (sucks), Rosenlie(unbelievebly sucky) (IMHO).

Which 2 are owned by the same company?

I think we all get free car washes. Most choose not to get it done because of how bad it is for teh dealer to clean it with their dirty rags.
