Yeah, I have 2004.5.
I remember thinking I did and someone laughed and I said I swear its a 2004.5. I guess a lot of people have never heard of .5 years on cars, but my Jetta was a 1999.5 and people laughed when I told them about the .5.

Quote: I think you left out a zero in each of the above numbers...

IF the VIN ends in 800,000 or higher then you are supposed to have a 2004.5 ECU. These cars have more hp and torque on the dynos than the 2004's. Although Nissan never published this data it was done to test out the up and coming changes for the 2005 vehicles without the exhaust changes.

Some people are so gullible.
i guess it could be true. my 2004.5 dyno'd almost 235RWHP stock. but then again i seen some that did just as much on 2003s..

Neff, that was pretty funny. I almost missed it, it's pretty hard to read.

So the date on my 04 says 08/04.. my VIN ends with a 700,000 number.. But Infiniti tells me my TCM is in the valve body when I gave them my VIN number. I don’t think it is.. I checked under the glove compartment on the passenger side and there is a TCM there.. unless that’s not the TCM

There was a difference in the interior center console. The 2004.5 had a padded arm rest lid whereas the 2004 was a plastic cover only or may even be left open, I can't recall. The compartment is actually the cup holder when the lid/arm rest is lifted.
