Best way to move a dealer who won't budge, is to play them off other dealers. "So-and-so quoted me a price of $$$"

Actually I just called Pinnacle and the Costco deal only applies to sedans. All coupes are excluded in the deal as well as 6MTs.

My wife and I have purchased a 05 Coupe and a 05 Sedan in the last 30 days for only $300 over invoice! If you are a Sam's Club or Costco member and work through the Fleet Sales Department at Pinnacle Infiniti in Scottsdale AZ. they will sell you ANY 2005 Infiniti model for $300 over invoice.

Just call the Fleet Sales Manager Mitchell Eason at Pinnacle Infiniti at (480) 991-4100 and tell him the Pope's sent you. Mitch will bust his butt to get you the car you want. In my 25 years of car ownership this guy provided us with the best car buying experience ever.

Good Luck!

In terms of a discount off of MSRP, picking one off of the lot will always work to your advantage. Anything on the lot is inventory, and inventory depreciates over time. But just be aware that any car on the lot is fair game for test drives. Test drives are usually not good for the car.

Only if they have exactly what you want. Colors, wheels, transmission, addons, etc. It's your money, don't settle for something you don't want or will regret later. If you do order because none of your local dealers have anything that'll work, expect a few months of waiting.

my coupe had 50 miles or somthing on it. anything with less then 500 miles will most likely WILL not get discounted.

as for the Aero package. the AERO package is a rear diffusser, and Spoiler.
the UNDERGROUND/body kit is just the LIP with Mud Guards.

adding Areo package to a underground kit is not a problem in either case. the only way to not get a 3rd brake lamp on the rear deck of the car is to get a car that has AERO package from the factory. if it does have the 3rd lamp and a spoiler, its 100% Spoiler add on from Dealer. i thought the card thing was to cover the Tow hook from the front beam cause there isn't on below the bumper.?

Unless you believe that somehow Infiniti is not going to keep up with the production demand for the MT's, than there should be no justification for a higher price for an MT vs. an AT. If you are talking about buying a car off the lot (or nearby lot) than the current relative scarcity of the MT's may come into play.

We ordered a CPE 6MT nearly a month ago and the price was the same as if we had ordered an AT - $500 over Invoice. Some others in this area have received similar prices. Of course this is in the Washington, DC, area, but in that the Destination charge is the same in CA as in the East, this should not be an issue in price... perhaps in delivery date.

Best of luck in finding that car you want!.
I stand next to what I say with the exception of some isolated cases. Its been shown even on edmunds (take it for what its worth) that the majority of people are spending close to MSRP for the car. Even from what I have heard, only those with VPP or some sorty of military background and a few possible lucky ***** like yourself got one for pennies over invoice. Count your blessings, you are in a low percentile bracket.

Enjoy your car

EVERY car comes with a card from the factory saying how much the factory put on it during road test. Take that number and add 5 or 6 miles (to take into account dealer filling it with gas, and loading onto/off of ship at dock yada yada.

Mine came with 11 miles on it. I think more than that should be questioned. 50 miles is fishy...

And since I was one of the first to get the extact car before the dealer even had it, I paid MSRP. If your in SoCal, I know that dealers will now loosen up a bit since they are now stocking them so you might get 500 or more off sticker, but don't count on it (if your in SoCal)...these cars are going quick (atleast right now) and its almost impossible to walk onto the lot and find EXACTLY what you want...

Goodluck man!

Where are you located? If you are socal, I bet i can get you the best deal (guaranteed!)

As for the license plate, when I picked up my sedan I had the choice of having them install the front plate holder or not. I had to sign a waiver that said I did not want it, but they offered.

I wouldn't have taken the care if they had removed the cover and bolted on the plates!

Cheers, Ted

(PM me if you need a so cal dealer reference)

Shop around. The dealers will always tell you how "hot" these cars are. The fact of the matter is, they're NISSANS! These cars are mass produced and there is absolutely NO reason for anyone to pay close to MSRP. If M3s are going for $2000 off sticker, why in the world would anyone pay sticker for a G35? The most important thing is to have a bit of patience. The dealer I went to fed me the "I can't keep these cars on the lot!" line so I walked out, called around, and got a deal for about $2K off MSRP for a 6MT.

wnt1bd had explained to you in January how you could get your car cheaper - but you chose not to follow his suggestions. I did follow them. If that makes me somehow "lucky" than so be it.

Do you honestly believe that a dealer selling you a car for Invoice is not making a profit? And if you order a car from Japan such that the dealer's interest and other carrying expenses are minimal do you believe that he would prefer to not sell you a car by demanding more than you are willing to pay?
